Overview
How do I find my way around the shop?
To open the webshop, click the “EHG online shop” tile on our homepage or go to “Shop” in the main menu. From there, you can browse by material or shape using the navigation bar at the top, or simply search for what you need.
Your personal details, favourites and shopping basket are at the top right.
Login and registration
How do I get access to the webshop?
Click “Login” at the top right. You will see two options:
- New customers can apply for a customer account and webshop access in one go using the first link.
- Existing EHG customers who don’t have their own login yet can register using the second link.
Fill in the form and enter your VAT ID number with the country code (e.g. ATU12345678 or DE123456789). Please note that each VAT ID number can only be registered once.
Once your account has been activated, usually within 2–3 working days, we will send you an email with a link to log in.
I’ve forgotten my password. What should I do?
Just click “Forgotten your password?” on the login page.
If you run into any problems while registering, the contacts listed on the login page will be happy to help.
Finding the right material
How do I find the material I need?
The menu bar gives you quick access to our main product ranges (Steel, Stainless steel, Non-ferrous metals) and all available shapes. If you don’t select anything, you will see all qualities across our main ranges. Open a quality in the drop-down menu to see every version available. You can narrow down your search by quality and shape using the filters on the left.
How do I find the right size?
Once you have chosen a quality and shape, you will see a table of all available sizes. Use the fields at the top, such as width and height, to filter the table, then click the size you want to open the item.
Configuring articles
How do I configure an article?
Each article page has three sections:
- Details on the left
- Configuration in the middle
- Summary with the price on the right
In the configuration section, choose the quantity, unit and length, then select the type of cut. If you need it, you can also add a preparation such as shot blasting. Click the info icon (i) to find out more about each option.
The price in the summary updates as you go. When you’re happy, click “Add to basket”.
Shopping Basket & Ordering
How do I place an order?
Ordering takes four steps:
- Shopping basket
- Dispatch
- Shipping overview
- Confirmation
In your shopping basket, you can edit, duplicate or delete articles and add your own order number. Under “Dispatch”, choose your delivery address. In the order overview, check everything, accept the "General EHG Terms and Conditions of Delivery and Sale", and click “Order now”. To keep a paper copy, click “Print shopping basket”.
Can I save my shopping basket as an offer?
Yes. Just click “Save shopping basket as an offer” in the order overview. You will find the offer under “Offers” in your account, and you can move it back into your shopping basket and order it whenever you like.
Saved offers are non-binding and only for your own reference. Nothing is ordered until you move the offer to your shopping basket and place the order.
Orders, Offers & Factory Certificates
Where can I find my orders and offers?
Click your name at the top right, then select “Orders” or “Offers” from the menu on the left. You can use the search fields to filter the list, e.g. by order or offer number, item number or date.
A coloured dot shows the status of each order: Entered (yellow), Released (green) or Invoiced (red).
To reorder from a saved offer, click “Convert to shopping basket”.
How do I download factory certificates?
Go to “Factory certificates” in your account. You can use the search fields to find a specific certificate, or leave them blank and click “Search” to see all of them, sorted by order number.
Expand the order you need and click the certificate to open it as a PDF.
Favourites, multiple shopping baskets and your own article numbers
How do I save favourites?
On the article page, click “Add to favourites” next to the article name. You’ll find all your favourites under “Favourites lists” in your account. Click “Create new favourites list” to set up more lists, for example one per project.
Can I have more than one shopping basket?
Yes. Go to “Shopping baskets” in your account and click “Create new shopping basket”. Give it a title and choose a delivery address. To switch between baskets, use “Select shopping basket” at the top right of your shopping basket.
Can I use my own article numbers?
Yes. On the article page, enter your number in the “Define my article number for this article” field. From then on, you can also find the article by entering your own article number in the global search.
