Processing services – Professional, high-precision steel and metal processing
With our modern machinery, we process the products precisely according to your wishes.
Sawing and cutting
We cut steel and metal precisely to length, in Europe's most high-tech cutting and sawing centre.
Learn moreTube laser cutting
Thanks to laser technology, we are able to saw, drill, mill and deburr steel and metal in a single process step.
Learn moreFriction drilling
Using modern equipment, we realise chipless passages in thin-walled profiles.
Learn moreEdge and surface finishing
We deliver metal blanks deburred and free of rust, scale and rolling skin. If required, we can also provide blanks preserved, lasered or barrel finished.
Learn moreWhat is stainless heat-resistant steel used for?
Heat-resistant steels are highly versatile. They are primarily used in sheet steel form but also as round steel or steel pipe, for example for the following products or industries:
- Rotary kilns in the cement industry
- Nitric acid tanks in the food industry
- Pipelines in oil and natural gas processing plants
- Industrial furnaces and waste incineration plants
- Automotive exhaust pipes
- Hot water storage in energy supply

What are the properties of stainless heat-resistant steel?
Heat-resistant steel is available as austenitic or ferritic steel as well as duplex steel, a mixture of both structures. Depending on the type of microstructure, different properties arise. For example, austenitic steels have low heat and temperature conductivity, but are more sensitive to thermal fatigue.
The most important basic characteristics are:
- High fatigue strength/creep resistance in the desired temperature range
- Resistance to corrosion including water corrosion, high temperature corrosion and sulphurous media
- Very good resistance to carburisation
- Stable microstructure
- High mechanical load capacity
What makes stainless steel resistant to heat?
In contrast to conventional stainless steels, heat-resistant steel grades have an increased content of chromium, aluminium and silicon. This leads to the formation of an impermeable oxide layer, which provides an exceptional degree of heat resistance and as such resistance to permanent scaling caused by exhaust gases.
