Processing services – Professional, high-precision steel and metal processing
With our modern machinery, we process the products precisely according to your wishes.
Sawing and cutting
We cut steel and metal precisely to length, in Europe's most high-tech cutting and sawing centre.
Learn moreTube laser cutting
Thanks to laser technology, we are able to saw, drill, mill and deburr steel and metal in a single process step.
Learn moreFriction drilling
Using modern equipment, we realise chipless passages in thin-walled profiles.
Learn moreEdge and surface finishing
We deliver metal blanks deburred and free of rust, scale and rolling skin. If required, we can also provide blanks preserved, lasered or barrel finished.
Learn moreWhat is aluminium used for?
Aluminium is used in areas including the following:
- Aerospace
- Jig and fixture construction, mould making
- Apparatus engineering
- Vehicle manufacturing and shipbuilding
- Electrical and electronic engineering
- Packaging industry
- Civil engineering
- Optical and lighting technology
- Furniture sector

What are the properties of aluminium?
Aluminium is very low density and, unlike steel, very light. The properties can differ significantly depending on the material composition. This should be considered when processing aluminium. The properties of aluminium include the following:
- Corrosion resistance
Due to their oxide layer, pure and ultra-pure aluminium metals in particular are highly resistant to corrosion in environments with neutral pH values. Aluminium reacts less well in the acidic or alkali range. - Good formability
Aluminium is relatively soft. It can be easily plastically deformed and is ideally suited to non-cutting manufacturing processes. - Good machinability
Despite its high strength, aluminium remains quite soft and as such is highly suited to machining. The non-ferrous metal allows high feed speeds and facilitates processing with the tightest tolerances. - Outstanding thermal and electrical conductivity
Aluminium is an excellent conductor of heat and electricity. - Magnetic neutrality
Aluminium materials are not magnetic. - Highly reflective
Bright metal aluminium surfaces reflect light and heat radiation with only slight absorption.
Furthermore, it is possible to change the colour of aluminium surfaces by means of anodising and arbitrary coating methods.
