Pader-Stahl becomes part of the EHG Group

The EHG Group continues to expand in North Rhine-Westphalia and, via its subsidiary in Bad Oeynhausen, takes over the Pader-Stahl Handels-GmbH company based in Paderborn. The takeover will be made in two stages: 50% retroactively as of 01.01.2023, the remaining 50% as of 31.12.2026.

"With the phased takeover of Pader-Stahl, we are expanding our presence in North Rhine-Westphalia. We are thus in a position to supply our customers in our region even faster and better. In addition, we can take advantage of many synergies - especially in the network with EHG in Bad Oeynhausen," emphasises Detlef Schwer, Managing Director of EHG Stahl.Metall Bad Oeynhausen.

Pader-Stahl is a stockholding steel trader and has a broad portfolio of steel and metal. The products traded are also processed, mainly sawn. "We are pleased to welcome Pader-Stahl, a very healthy and promising company, to the EHG Group. It has grown strongly in recent years and can now continue on this course with our strength on its side," say the two managing directors of the EHG Group Markus Lutz and Stefan Girardi.

Pader-Stahl currently has around 40 employees at two locations in Paderborn. By becoming part of the EHG Group, the company can massively expand its own product range and benefit from 60 years of experience in the steel and metal trade.

"We are very pleased to be part of the EHG family from now on. This will allow us to benefit from decades of know-how and expand our product range, which will ultimately benefit our customers," the two managing directors of Pader-Stahl, Helmut Schwarzkopf and Michael Agethen, say.

Pader-Stahl will continue to be run independently by the existing management until the takeover is complete, benefiting from operational synergies. Further integration steps will only take place after the complete takeover in 2027, whereas the EHG Group will rely on the Paderborn location in the long term.
